The library's check out policy depends on the status of the user.

Students

  • Must have a valid LCard (ID) to borrow materials.
  • Books - 4 week loan period (limit 10)
  • Best Sellers - 2 week loan period (limit 2)
  • Reserves - 2 hour in library use only unless faculty give permission for overnight use
  • Flicks-To-Go (popular films collection) - 3 day loan period (limit 2)
  • Laptops - in-house use only 

Faculty and Staff

  • Books due at the end of the semester
  • Best Sellers - 2 week loan period
  • CDs - 7 days
  • AV Equipment - 14 day loan period
  • Laptops - in-house use only 
  • Reserves, periodicals, CDs - permission of library staff

Community Patrons

  • Residents of Cherokee County, SC may obtain a courtesy checkout card for $25 with a $10 renewal fee per year if in good standing

Loan Periods

  • Checked out materials may be renewed once with permission from the library staff.
