To find information on an author like James Balwin, the best place would be our Literature Databases. From the library homepage at my.limestone.edu/library

Click on the Research by Subject link (middle of the page). This will take you to our list of research databases by subject. Go to the Literature link. You may try all the databases listed there but the Literature Resource Center is a good place to start. You can search by author or name of work. You will retrieve literary criticism articles on that topic.

If you are interested in Biographical information, go to our Biography databases (listed as subject) and search there.

Additionally, you may find the library guide for EN 311 helpful. Click on the Library Guides link on the library homepage. Then choose the EN 311 guide from the list of English guides (browse by subject). Or go directly to it here: http://libguides.limestone.edu/EN311

Relevant research article databases can be found when you click on the tab at the top - Find Articles. Let us know if you need more assistance, and thank you for using our Ask A Librarian service.
