First, it would be helpful if you could tell me which class this is for and what the assignment is. I would then be able to point you to more subject specific resources. In the meantime, I am directing you to our Search Everything database which is located on our library website

The Search Everything link is the first link in the middle of the page. After clicking it, you will see several options to choose from. You may search all our resources or choose Articles or Books. Do not choose the Journals A-Z option. Also, there is a Scholarly (Peer reviewed) option if this is required by your assignment. You may want to check the Full Text box as well so that you will be able to retrieve the complete document right away.

Results are ranked by relevancy so the first few pages of results would be most germane to your search. Please view the following video which will show you how to search using Search Everything.

The search words that you would use would depend on the context in which you are conducting this search, so I would need more information from (see above) before I am able to effectively help you with this. You may start with searching for "permission" and "asking" but you really would need to narrow this down to the situation in which this is being undertaken - is this a legal situation, a medical situation, an act of general courtesy?

I look forward to hearing more from you.
