Go to the library website , and under Library Resources click on Search Everything.  Click on Advanced Search, and in the search box, type in African American, and in the second box, type homelessness.  Use whatever key words you think are appropriate to your search.  Limit your search to Full text.

If you're required by your instructor to use Scholarly resources, check that box as well.  Below, where it says Publication date, key on the date bar to move the left one to 2011 and the right one to 2016.  These will limit your search to articles published during that span of time.  You may limit your search by Source types, as well.  You may want to play around with various search terms.  You'll get a lot of hits, so play around and try search terms that will limit your hits.  Some hits will be very specific, so look for ones that fit your needs.
