What are Library Guides or Subject Guides?

Answer

Library or Subject Guides are created by the Limestone Librarians to help you do research in your major or in a specific course. These guides suggest certain library sources, such as books/eBooks, databases, academic journals, etc. and online sources, such as websites, digital collections, videos, data and statistical resources, & more. They also provide you with tips on how to use resources, cite sources, and more.

Some classes have their own Library Guides which suggest resources based on the assignments in that course. Some guides are for specific majors (Criminal Justice, Social Work, English, etc.) and suggest resources that students can use in their major classes.

You can check out your major's Library Guide or if your course has a Library guide by visiting the Library Guide page.
